The youngest of four children, Erika T. Johnson was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. Erika’s love for performing started at a young age. She began dancing at Corrine’s Dance Studio and has never stopped. Erika graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Business and Dance. There she performed in several Emerging Artists Shows and Graduate Showings. Shortly after graduating, Erika moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Dance. Erika is an accomplished dancer in a variety of styles including African, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Samba and Swing. She has appeared on the Tonight Show as well and the Kid’s Choice Awards with Will Smith. Erika has danced for numerous charities including Magic Johnson’s Midsummer’s Magic as a Harlem Renaissance Dancer. You can see Erika gracing the dance scene in a recent iPod commercial and on DVD swing dancing her way across the screen in Idlewild staring Terrence Howard, Andre 3000 and Big Boi. It is during her time in LA that she fell in love with acting. Erika has performed on the stage in the plays Through a Child’s Eyes and Paper Angels. She has also appeared on the small screen in The Forgotten, Strong Medicine and The Shield. It is with the continued support of family and friends that Erika is able to pursue her dreams. It is through her Art that she is able to express her love and thanks.
